When the American Museum of Natural History mounted a major exhibition about the biology of super-sized dinosaurs – the long-necked and long-tailed sauropods – the centerpiece was a 60 foot life-sized detailed model of the world’s largest dinosaur. We responded to their request for marketing visuals and branding with super-sized type and visuals. When the banner with the exhibition visuals was hung from the museum entrance, our large dinosaur could be seen from blocks away rising over the fringe of Central Park. What followed was a full marketing roll out with indoor and outdoor banners, posters, signage, newspaper and magazine ads, and outdoor advertising on buses, trains, subways and billboards. And, yes, that was a dinosaur you saw rolling through Times Square.
